The High Court

I am a Republican and a lifelong one at that. However, I must say that I am terribly disappointed the the Supreme Court ruling that favored Hobby Lobby today. Now mind you I was a political science major so I understand that the ruling is not about Hobby Lobby but about the fact that employers are not required to supply birth control through the healthcare plans that their employees can choose from.  This disappoints me.  When will it ever stop?  What will be next?  This is not a good thing in the eye of rights for women. How do you feel about this?

  1. Birth control is cheap enough for anyone who wants it; it's never been unavailable or costly. Employers and the government shouldn't have to provide this freebie, nor should those with private health plans be expected to chip in. Those upset about this ruling need to understand that this country has enough dire, serious problems with how our VA patients are being treated and how those who are seriously/chronically ill are suffering from the effects of Obamacare.

I highly recommend you listen to the Mark Levin show; you'll hear things there that you'll learn from no other broadcast. Today's podcast from the show about the ruling was quite educational. Just please don't believe the brainwashed, liberal media!

    2. I hope you liked and/or still like him.... I find his show extremely resourceful. To some, he may come across as abrasive, but I admire his intellect and hindsight. He's a gem, and try to listen to his show as much as possible - I've learned so much from him. He's a good person!

  2. No employer, let alone some arts and crafts store, should dictate a woman's healthcare. If this were about men it wouldn't even be up for discussion. Im grossed out by this whole matter today.

  3. It is so patriarchal - Hobby Lobby is not against Viagra or vasectomies. Birth control is expensive!! And babies are even more expensive!!!

  4. Why would you be a Republican if you care about women's issues? In the ideal Republican world men make all the decisions about "the little woman's" body and choices. Evidenced today with this ruling. Disgusting….

  5. I wish people would listen. Of the options for birth control, Hobby Lobby refuses to pay for those that are considered abortion. They are paying for the standard birth control - the daily pill, etc!!

  6. Why don't they say that paying for Viagra etc. should not be paid by insurance. It infuriates me that women are always the ones to be denied medical care and men get whatever - paid by their insurance.

  7. Read the ENTIRE ruling! They do not deny birth control--only those that would involve an already fertilized egg. If you don't like it, don't work for Hobby Lobby! Thank you Hobby Lobby for standing up for your beliefs!
